X-45 UCAV

Boeing created the X-45 Unmanned Combat Aircraft (UCAV). The first flight occurred on May 22,2002. Six months later, the aircraft completed another flight. The aircraft were controlled by DICE software, and were the first operational progenitors of the "flying UCAV swarm" concept. UCAVs can be described as "swarms of unmanned planes," with each unit acting like a "cloud-like computing mind." This idea is still quite futuristic for many defense groups, but it was science fiction in early 2000s.

How To

Repairing a damaged motor on a drone

It is important to first identify which motor part is damaged before you can repair it. To do this, remove the propeller and motor shaft. Then you should remove any wires attached to the motor and look at the inner workings of the motor itself. If you spot something wrong, you can identify which part of the motor needs to be fixed.

If the motor has not been damaged, it is safe to fly again.

Consider a motor that has become bent and won't turn. To get the motor to turn again, you'll need to bend it. To hold the motor, use a vice grip or pair of pliers. After you have completed this step, be sure to inspect the motor for any signs of wear.

Once you're satisfied that everything's ok, put the propeller back onto the motor shaft and reattach the wires. Your drone is now ready to fly!
