When you buy a new drone, you probably won't notice any difference between the old battery pack and the new one. Your battery pack will gradually wear down over time. It may stop working completely eventually. To make sure that your drone is still functioning properly, you will need to replace its battery.

It's better to use the original battery pack when replacing it. A faulty battery pack could cause serious damage to your drone.

These steps will help you replace your battery pack.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the battery connector. This ensures your drone doesn’t receive any electricity. Simply pull the cable from the drone to disconnect the battery connector.
  2. Unscrew your battery pack. Unscrew your quadcopter's battery pack. The battery pack is usually split into two pieces.

  4. Install the new battery. Next, install the new battery into the drone. Align the connectors for the battery pack on each side. Then, push the battery pack onto the drone. Once done, tighten the bolts holding the battery pack in place.
  5. Reattach the battery connector cables. Connect the battery connector cable to your drone after installing the new battery pack.
  6. Test the drone. Test the drone once more to make sure it is working correctly. If it does, congratulations!
